Passion

After a lifetime of believing it was not possible, I am finally living my answer to the question, "What would you do if you could do anything and money were no object?" I love sewing; I love fabric; and I love making clothes and draperies. I guarantee that you will never receive better service than from a person who does what he does for fun!

My History

I began sewing at the age of ten, working on my mother's old sewing machine.

I hated that machine! I always spent more time fixing thread-jams than sewing. But the seed of interest had been sewn, so to speak.

I ignored high school and college career-interest surveys that suggested I would enjoy working with my hands and instead embarked on a career as a Certified Public Accountant. I sewed in my spare time, but of course "spare time" is in perpetually short supply.

It has taken a large leap of faith to leave my old life behind and begin anew as Alan the Tailor. I am proud to be able to offer my skills as a tailor to serve the community. I like to think my great-great-great-great grandfather Elisa Sawyers would be proud - he was a tailor, too!

My Commitment

My success as a tailor depends on your satisfaction as a customer.

Because I do what I do for fun, I want you to have fun, too! If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your alteration, I hope you will let me know and give me the opportunity to meet your specifications. I stand behind all of my work with a money-back guarantee.
